Steven Casey, President
& CEO, CTO, Founder
Mr. Casey is the CEO and CTO and sets the
strategic direction of the company while directing its operations. He has over fourteen years of experience in
developing technologies, products, and business areas specifically related to
thermo-mechanical systems and heat exchangers, including having transitioned
such products to commercialization. He
has served as Principal Investigator and Program Manager for many projects with
budgets in millions of dollars and is the primary inventor for several
patents.
He graduated near the top of
his class from Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT) with Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering and
conducted research in MIT Sloan Automotive Laboratory. He ranked first out of over one thousand of
his peers in the entire engineering college at the University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with Bachelors of Science in
Mechanical Engineering.
David
Berman, Marketing and Business Development
Mr.
Berman supports the marketing and business development functions. He has over five years
experience working with start-up companies in the clean energy and smart grid
areas and over ten years of experience in networking, telecommunications, and
digital video systems. He has served as
acting Vice-President of Marketing for an optical networking start-up company
as has served as Chief Technical Officer (CTO) for Nortel Network’s Arris
Interactive subsidiary. Mr. Berman was
Vice-President of Marketing at Passave Technologies, a start-up providing
semiconductor solutions for broadband access networks.
He holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business
Administration, and a B.A. in Engineering and Applied Physics from Harvard College.
Geoff Phillips, Lead
Advisor (MIT VMS)
Mr. Phillips brings extensive automotive expertise and experience, particularly with strategies
involving product development and market fit, customer adoption, and
product-to-market channels in the automotive space. He has
over twenty years of experience developing durable consumer products and
products for the automotive industry. He
was responsible for the development of all vehicle accessories for General
Motors in Europe, and has worked with clients
in numerous industries to bring innovative new products to market. He has experience in emerging markets with a
diverse set of products ranging from molded plastics, to stamped steel,
cut-and-sew, and electronics.
He has business and engineering degrees: Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, MBA; Stanford
University, Masters of Science. Manufacturing Systems Engineering; and University of California at Berkeley. BS in Mechanical Engineering.
